Athletics is all about the students—learning, developing skills, competing and striving to do their best. That’s why you got into this.
Your job comes with a few extra tasks, though. You need to create goodwill for your school, demonstrate to the community the value of your program, showcase youth achievements in their chosen sports and encourage support of your athletes.
You’re not an event planner, yet that’s the approach you need to take to get more people at more school sports activities. Parents are a given. The challenge is to develop new fans by making the experience fun for the crowd.
